It was this point where I was tired of lineart as the focus so I did the more painterly approach first here :0
Leonie rambles again!
- somehow found myself talking & typing up a bunch of rambly essays about issues and perspectives
- I don’t know if it’ll help in the long run but it’s nice to discuss these things and do what I can
- also suggested things to peeps
- if things don’t work out then at least I tried and I’ll focus on what I can juggle with
- can’t say details but I spent so much time thinking/writing about this
- I don’t usually speak up so this is not the norm – it’s time consuming too
- sometimes I don’t even know if I’m helping or if people would help me out in the same way…
- I don’t expect it because hoping/expecting for mutual support or reciprocation is asking to be hurt and disappointed :’)
- and so far I don’t think things are mutual with most people so I just don’t speak up about it
- but hey I don’t want to regret not doing things that feel right to me…
- gah am I talking like a sad, lonely hermit now ;P
- gosh I am not used to sharing my artistic or any other opinion in a group context…
- I’m so used to my opinion not mattering as I’m in the minority
- and my tastes are subjective ;P
- and my needs/preferences/sensory issues are too niche to be catered for :’D
- sometimes I feel disconnected/isolated and don’t want to share too much of myself in my work
- social anxiety is a thing too and managing my low social energy levels
- I do need to do better at times (pick my battles) so that do share my thoughts where appropriate
- I guess at least with work?
- not as much with other things because unsolicited opinions are not great/helpful
- I do tend to hyperfocus and don’t switch gears well when in that mode
- and sometimes I don’t feel safe to share too much
- everyone has boundaries with this and it’s emotional workload in itself ;P
- night time group social things are not for me – I’m a tired, low energy soul ;P
- it’s uncomfortable when you can’t do 1 to 1 chats to keep overstimulation manageable
- bummed but ah well I just focus on my managing my 1 to 1 lunch/walk chats and not stress about group things ;P
- accepting I can’t be friends with everyone / self reminder
- not sure who I would mutually want to befriend either as it’s a commitment for all parties to keep 1 to 1 things regular
- it could just be a one off when it’s not really working out with friend capacity/time
- yes I overthink these things ;P
- caught up and ate lunch together with a kind friend/buddy <3
- I got unexpected gifts too!! :’D
- had some nice 1 to 1 catch up chats too 😀
- someone got me stuck into sudoku (it’s been many years since I touched it)
- now I’m just stumped at the advanced/medium stuff 🙁
- I need to study strategies when I can juggle that in wah
- it kind of helped break off my manga/manwha checking addiction weirdly enough haha
- I don’t check everyday anymore
- it engaged more of my brain (as well as picross!!)
- learning fancy unity things much thanks to artist help at work!! :0
- unity has so many things going on – sorcery!!
- not sure how to feel about the Mario Galaxy Movie trailer
- are the princesses distinct from each other anymore like what Schaffrillas said…??
- why is it Galaxy when there’s Mario Odyssey stuff in here
- am slowly watching Dispatch ep 3 and some adult humour/nudity I guess ;P
- I do like some of the characters
- also since I don’t go to these anymore, the Freeplay Parallels 2025 recording is out
- a lot of nerves and some swearing haha
- some sad, awkward, helpless chuckling about how times and the industry is not great
- some interesting games though!
- watched some Pluribus clips and trailers thus far and I don’t know if it’s for me
- where is this show going?
- hearing again how Amazing digital circus and Hazbin Hotel are popular these days
- I am not sure if/when to watch…it feels like an overstimulating ride
- I only saw the former’s pilot and that’s it
- also how Chainsaw Man Reze Arc I hear is peak but I wouldn’t know ;P
- slowly doing a low stress drawing challenge
- not sure how to go about posting it since I’m quite behind on it…
- I still feel behind on everything I plan
- and what art projects / learning to focus on as it never ends
- Gah I have my backlog of games to play and I am slow…
- I have finished my low poly character project finallyyyy 😀
- that took a lot of time to edit the timelapse for
- it’ll come out hopefully before the end of year or January yay!
- I can move on from doing modeling/hand painted texturing for now haha
- I have some art to do,
- figure out blender more (it never ends though…)
- redo again??? my discord emotes when I get back to it…
- finish up my own okonomiyaki character design…
- continue with my drawing challenge and other studies if that ever happens
- actually start my own personal project – once I figure that out 🙁
- I wish I had a story to tell from the top of my head
- I need to figure out storytelling as much as I enjoy learning art…
- there’s so much to learn…I want to do what feels manageable for me but what??
- I guess I’m scared of super long projects…I should be smart like other artists and do short projects
- I’m not feeling strongly with the Game Award finalists given what happened to their program :/
- just more active at my little discord server haha
- I’ll keep mentioning it because I can ;P
- usually me sharing stuff, media, resources and things of note really
Anyhoo I’m juggling with not much time so I’ll stop here!
