Well in light of the sudden new Fire Emblem game haha
Leonie rambles about…
Nintendo Direct was mixed/disappointing
- So we finally see Rosalina for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie eventually…when the movie comes out
- it’s the year of Rosalina now
- what if for the 40th anniversary I want a quality Mario game instead of a movie…
- the Mario Galaxy bundle is disappointing – just for some bonus new pages as the new content??? Nah
- even the Rosalina amibo is under 50 AUD!!
- games I would play but not fully sure about:
- Yoshi and the Mysterious Book
- I hope this isn’t too similar to Yoshi’s Crafted World and Yoshi’s Wooly World (either too easy and the post game is too hard)
- I really like the art!! SO adorable ๐
- Kirby Air Riders – still half interested and half “I’m not technical” as a gamer
- Rhythm Heaven game not mentioned and not ready
- Yoshi and the Mysterious Book
- I am not sold about Super Mario Bros. Wonder + Meetup in Bellabel Park
- I don’t have friends to play with for the multiplayer stuff ;P
- I guess the Koopalings are here again
- not really sold on the DLC :/
- yes even if Rosalina is in here
- this direct is disappointing with the paid DLCs!!
- I’m a Nintendo fan and I won’t stand for it nor buy these DLCs
- games I would watch someone else play
- Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream
- keen to watch someone stream this
- Fire Emblem: Fortuneโs Weave
- seems promising with the story
- I watched all the other 3 Houses routes and the discourse oof ;P
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
- I don’t care for it and the world of BOTW/TOTK (burnt out) so I’d rather watch someone
- I don’t like/dread open world Zelda games to the point that I don’t know if I’ll consider myself a current game Zelda fan anymore
- some of Pokรฉmon Pokopia as it looks cosy and weird
- too bad the Nintendo patents are a thing and stifle creativity :/
- Minecraft x Animal Crossing + weird ditto human haha
- a bit of Mario Tennis Fever – wow baby Waluigi
- not sold on playing it at all
- previous game was disappointing with the skill wall
- but the devs for this one is Camelot who did the golf games though apparently
- DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined – maybe
- Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
- wow Samus with bike
- Resident Evil Requiem
- Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream
- I don’t care for main line Pokemon games
- The Hades II animated cinematic looked super good but a tad too long pacing wise
- I guess it’s (version 1) finally done??
- I have not finished Donkey Kong Bananza
- I’m still playing and avoiding spoilers!!
- I got spoiled on all the Bananzas now thanks to this DLC trailer ๐
- stuff you – I’m still playing this game and you’re doing DLC already????
- apparently there’s another spoiler but I kinda didn’t look at the trailer properly when it started talking about this paid DLC
- I am not sold on this DLC – why collect emeralds??? I don’t like roguelite/roguelikes!!
- Another disappointment when this could have been part of the main game – not substantial as a DLC
- I didn’t watch too much reactions to the direct as I already got the negative points and don’t want to feel even more sad and disappointed
First time getting sick with covid (let me vent here)
- I know who spread it to my family who then spread it to me – so I’m feeling angry/frustrated/helpless
- stuff youuuuuuuu!!! I’m salty and resentful alright!! >:(
- I put so much effort in masking & preventing it all these 5+ years and then someone spreads it to my family member who is not as vigilant who spreads it to the rest of us ARGH
- I didn’t want to be the one to give it to family but here my family got it and gave it to me oof
- I fear the possibility of long covid and I fear of the long term organ injuries
- I hope this doesn’t affect my asthma…
- and hope the brain fog goes away and doesn’t stay around
- I have even more trust issues with all kinds of visitors now
- I can’t control other laid back people…who are the majority…
- but wow I lasted and avoided covid for this long :<
- covid sucks
- I was aching and having headaches all day and night yesterday
- I pushed through the pain yesterday/all night so finally having painkillers today helped :’D
- I feel like I can function a tad better today
- covid is scary in which how fast it spreads / airborne…
- and how I don’t have the facilities to keep things hygienically separate >_>
- I’m not rich for that…
- forced to use the same things…
- and the “not as vigilant” one is the one not caring about the separation so it ruins attempts to clean commonly used areas, they dismiss the sickness/hygiene and touch everywhere and it stresses me out from overthinking
- …to the point that I’m resigned and don’t want to care every little thing anymore
- yes I am tired of this but all I can do is do what I can ๐
- not sure how I can do better next time when suddenly people got sick within 1 day of each other!!
- so by the time we notice symptoms, it’s too late…
- and how I don’t have the facilities to keep things hygienically separate >_>
- don’t put people at risk and spread it to others!! There are people who are immune compromised, etc!!
- currently it is day 2-ish of symptoms
- head fog, headaches, fatigue, body aches, runny nose, coughing, phelgmy throat, loss of appetite and feeling too warm
- don’t feel like eating much food…felt nauseous when I tried eating what I usually do at lunch
- I got advice and experiences from people with covid
- one was to use aspirin/paracetamol throughout as a painkiller
- to lie down and rest when you have brain fog for it to pass
- and to rest more (this is hard but I did stay in bed for 12 hours yesterday oof)
- whelp I am keeping isolated for 10 days / until 2 days after symptoms are gone
- (according to what I looked up)
- glad I got a booster shot earlier in the year
- I’m wondering how much I can work while having covid…I don’t know.
- took a sick day today at least – I was able to sluggishly get through with pain :’)
- I shall wing it depending on how well I’m functioning now that I have pain killers to help me
- I mean I still have to do chores like usual while suffering – no one’s going to do my chores oof
- (see what I mean by not being able to distance)

- Ah also the Aussie game awards finalists are here.
- Crossy Road is nominated but I think the popular Cult of the Lamb will take over and win that category.
- Also super happy that The Drifter got a bunch of nominations, yes!!
- Nanjing Massacre: The Holocaust you’ve never heard about
- well I have because someone told me about it – it’s horrific
- watched a streamer go through the first 4 hours of FMV chinese game Road to Empress and it’s hilarious C palace drama haha
- there’s more parts to come as the story of China’s first Lady emperor is very long
- So it does seem like youtube is not counting views from those with adblock anyway and it’s now included into the video viewcount since the 10th August
- youtube is getting harder to use – they also keep changing the UI for the video player
I’m going to take it easy and try to rest and do what I can…
(note I might take a break from posting next week)
