• still haven’t unlocked Mario Kart World‘s mirror mode
  • wish they had the 3 laps for a course back
  • probably take me a long time to get it as it’s not really that special – it’s just reversed courses…
• Clair Obscur Expedition 33 – it’s a good game with gameplay and music (spoilers ahead!!)
  • but I don’t care for the characters or story
  • it’s derivative of a lot of RPG stories and gameplay with their own French twist, especially Final Fantasy X‘s story
    • some argue that it executes story, acting, etc better but I don’t know :S
  • gameplay is amazing and fun I’ve heard
  • well acted but I don’t resonate with the morally grey characters as much as I understand where they’re coming from
    • Renoir is a great character though
    • I did want to hurry up and see where the story went because they kept speaking in riddles
    • I do not like Maelle while Verso is also scummy out of desperation
  • the divisive/harsh endings
    • makes people talk and debate on preferred/”best” ending!! It gets heated too!!
    • there is no nuance nor room to allow for a better ending – to make the point
    • the endings both have negatives themselves but Verso’s ending is definitely positioned to be the ideal ending
    • some people say that Verso threw away the “good ending” and somehow Maelle reads Alicia’s letter??
  • all about unhealthy forms of grief here, escapism and what is being alive, leaving a legacy, who do you hurt around you by your actions/hurt/trauma
  • people fear that there will be game clones of this game
    • others say this is an RPG for normies and are happy more people are playing a RPG
  • Paper Mario: Thousand year old door did counter attacks and parries and some other games too though…it’s not new
  • really NieR inspired music haha
  • it’s definitely game of the year for many but meh not me
    • I’m just glad I watched it and saw different reactions to the key story and ending bits
  • I’m in the minority here but there’s at least one streamer who didn’t resonate with the story too :0
• starting to watch Death Stranding 2 and I’m “huh?? Australia is in this game???”
• PEAK seems like a great, silly game!
  • Too bad I don’t have online friends to play with ;P

  • the ending didn’t feel too fleshed out as it was the same visual sequence with different dialogue about what happened off screen depending on what you did :S
  • noting the devs used genAI as placeholder text for no good reason and didn’t disclose that on Steam and tried to justify it as forgotten placeholder
  • very compelling premise though
  • I didn’t like that the mutiny was scripted and all your efforts towards having a full team were in vain
    • you’re forced under stress to manage everything stacked against you
• Watched multiple streams of Date Everything (spoilers ahead)
  • it’s very neat but I didn’t watch everything (just less than half of the dateable characters)
  • it’s a lot of “oh this voice actor!!” and seeing people choose/chase/lust over characters/personalities that match their preferences
    • some wholesome storylines
    • others are just toxic, silly/ridiculous, weird, pushy, icky or lewd
  • I just lose interest after seeing that it’s super shallow and terribly fast romance/friendship/hate relationships
    • you don’t end up with anyone since the tech glasses don’t last by the end of the game
    • aim is to date everything until all things are “actualised” as people and then you can free the glasses?
    • I never got to see the final ending though
  • is it meant to make fun of visual novels??
  • it also does the usual “oh you maxed this relationship, you don’t interact with them ever again unless they’re in another’s storyline”
    • so they disappear from your life after you’ve established your relationship
    • then you move on to the next person oof
• I got addicted to romance fantasy manga (both good and trashy) again and also read the Pokemon snorlax oneoff manga…
  • it took up a lot of my time!! My self control goes out the window when feeling empty, lonely or am procrastinating/self sabotaging 🙁
  • I need to stick to my restrictions more…
• was a super focused past week with work but hopefully moving onto the next stage…!
• also hoping to finish Miles Edgeworth Investigations (first game) before Donkey Kong Bananza…???
  • only finished case 4 thus far; taking my slow time with it
• I really really really don’t like people disrespecting boundaries and demand respect and gratefulness
  • felt trapped, frustrated and creeped out
  • also some muted, mixed feelings at times due to life things…
• my jaw joint is sore and my shoulders eep!! I need to relax more with my body 🙁
  • I get hyperfocused, anxious and tense at times…
• I’m slowly making discord emotes for my tiny server
  • I kept switching some out for new ones…when will it be done??? I’m still at the very time consuming lineart stage haha
  • I just keep sharing random things at my server ;P
  • well I need to focus!!!
