Originally this illustration was part of a bunch of 5 to 6 illustrations I did for Clara Reeve’s GCAP keynote (CEO of Hipster Whale) with art direction and some concepts by both Clara & Alice Walsh (art director of Hipster Whale).
Some pieces got cut too! Had to do overtime (made up for it later) to get almost all of it done during the week before GCAP and Alice did some final changes (I’m not aware what things though). I have no clue how the keynote went either as I wasn’t at GCAP/MIGW at the start of October. Hope it went well? :’D
The real Crossy Road birthday was the 20th of November last week but hey the celebration goes on for a month with this huge Crossy Road Theme Park update which started earlier today!
With this 10th anniversary/birthday piece (originally for the October keynote) I was given the freedom to represent the 10th anniversary with the party chicken!
So this is me coming up with the “10” candles and Chicken coming out from within! Happy my idea got approved π
For this marketing version it has a background where I just added lots of balloons and confetti. Checked with Sara and I am allowed to post this when the update comes out!
So if you see this post then I’m happy it’s out and I managed to put it out while I’m sleepy tired :’D
